Què es un Hacklab i per qué ens entusiasma la idea?
Un Hacklab es podria definir formalment com una comunitat de hackers,
i de forma més precisa, el lloc físic on es reuneixen per programar,
debatre, aprendre, planificar accions, trobar col·laboradors, jugar,
discutir etc. Ve a ser el nostre “Paradís Terrenal” un lloc on
desenvolupar l’esperit i l’ètica hacker.

Fa falta tenir carnet de “hacker” per participar-hi?
De cap manera, això és absurd. Si t’agrada pensar, programar, soldar,
aprendre, compartir, fer experiments… i t’agrada fer-ho amb eines
lliures: programari lliure, maquinari lliure, estàndards oberts etc. ja
hi ets benvinguda. Ningú té “carnet de hacker” i ningú s’autodenomina
“hacker”, tots estam cridats a ser hackers qualque dia.
Volem que al nostre Hacklab hi trobeu un lloc on:

Treballar amb altres, compartir hacks en persona i amb flexibilitat
horària. Molt més agradable i productiu que fer-ho sola a casa.

Trobar estímuls per a la teva creativitat.

No haver de donar explicacions de perquè t’apassiona la tecnologia o el hacktivisme. A totes ens apassionen coses semblants.

Explicar les teves idees per molt aberrants o poc convencionals que
siguin. No hauràs de lluitar per fer-te sentir, deixa que parli el teu
codi o els teus prototipus.

Desenvolupar projectes de Hack-art. Els desenvolupaments
tecno-artístics també són benvinguts, així com altres creacions
culturals i artístiques… aixó sí, només si són 100% lliures. Per
exemple, si ets una dissenyadora gràfica de les que saben que existeixen
altres eines més enllà de Photoshop, i vols venir al Hacklab a rebre
feedback per a dissenyar un nou joc d’icones o un tema per GNOME. Seràs
molt benvinguda.

Organitzar esdeveniments de hacking: hackathons, code-parties,
birra-parties :-D, tallers, expedicions en grup a hackmeetings,
participar a concursos, presentar idees a la resta de la societat…
l’únic límit és la nostra imaginació.

Trobar material compartit que potser no pots comprar-te tu tota
sola: equipament de laboratori, equipament de xarxa, servidors per
fer-hi experiments, etc.

Quatre pinzellades per a començar amb bon peu:

A un Hacklab no hi ha caps. Sempre hi haurà participants més
implicats en dinamitzar-lo, però si no t’agrada alguna cosa del que fan,
després de comentar-ho, pots prendre les teves pròpies iniciatives. És
una organització horitzontal.

Un espai compartit necessita que siguis respectuosa amb la feina i amb el material dels altres. Lògic, no?

DIEM NO A QUALSEVOL FORMA DE CIBERDELINQÜÈNCIA. El Hacklab que volem
muntar no és una cova de pillastres. Si t’agrada el cracking i altres
accions al marge de l’ètica del respecte a la privacitat de les persones
i de les organitzacions, fes-ho a la teva Bat-cova, no venguis al
Hacklab. Entre totes et demanarem que no tornis.

La resta de normes per a la bona convivència les anirem decidint sobre la marxa i entre totes.

La breu història d’aquest projecte
En una de les darreres quedades de Bulma va sortir la idea, a moltes
ens va entusiasmar però el principal problema era aconseguir fer-la
viable. Els lloguers són cars i no ho vèiem viable si no aconseguíem
engrescar a un bon grup de persones interessades.
El caliu, emperò, estava encès i ara sembla que bufen bons vents. Hem
trobat un local que podria servir i que no ens romp el pressupost. La
idea més sòlida ara per ara la va proposar en Joanmi Torres i estam en
plena del·liberació ara mateix.

Com saber més i com involucrar-te
Necessitam un mínim de 20 persones per arrancar. 20 persones que es
puguin comprometre a pagar 20 € cada més. Aquests doblers fan falta per
pagar el lloguer, la llum, l’aigua, la connexió a Internet, etc. Si et

What is a Hacklab and why is a great idea?
A Hacklab can be formally defined as a community of hackers. More
precisely, as the physical place where they meet to code, think, learn,
actuate, find collaborators, play, discuss etc. It is a place to live
our “Heaven on Earth”, a place to develop the true spirit and ethics of
hacking

Do I need to be a “true hacker” to participate?
No way, this is absurd. If you love thinking, coding, soldering,
learning, sharing, experimenting … and you prefer doing it with free
tools: Free Software, Free Hardware, Open Standards etc.. you will be
welcome. Nobody has nothing like “a hacker id card” and no one calls
itself “hacker”, we all are invited to become hackers someday.
We want our Hacklab to be a place where you will:

Be able to work with others in person and to share hacks at any time. More pleasant and productive than doing it alone at home.

Push your creativity.

Not have to explain why you feel passionate about technology or hacktivism. We all share the same passion more or less.

Be welcome to explain your ideas even if they are crazy or
unconventional. No need to fight to get yourself being listened. Let
your code or your prototypes talk.

Develop Hack-art projects. Techno-artistic developments are welcome,
as well as other cultural and artistic creations, but only if they are
100% free. For example, if you’re a graphic designer who knows that
there are other tools than Photoshop and are willing to to get some
feedback in order to design a new set of icons or a theme for GNOME,
please come to our Hacklab, you will be very welcome.

Organize different hacking events: hackathons, code-parties,
beer-parties:-D, workshops, group expeditions to different hackmeetings,
participate in contests, present your projects to the rest of society
… the only limit is our imagination.

Find some shared equipment that you could not afford alone:
laboratory equipment, network equipment, servers for doing experiments,
etc.

Some ideas to build a good starting point:

A Hacklab has no bosses. There will always be some participants more
involved at energizing it, but if you do not like anything of their
work, after the adecuate debate, you can take your own initiatives. It
is a horizontal organization.

Any shared space like a Hacklab needs you to be respectful with other’s work and equipment. Reasonable, isn’t it?

WE SAY NO TO ANY FORM OF CYBERCRYME. Our Hacklab will not become a
den of criminals. If you like cracking and other activities outside the
ethics of respect for the privacy of individuals and organizations, do
it at your Bat-cave, not in our Hacklab. If yo do so, we will demand you
to leave our club.

Other rules will be decided by consensum and as the Hacklab starts to run.

The brief history of this project
The idea arose in a recent Bulma meeting, many of us were in love
with the project but making it possible seemed quite hard. Renting a
garage is not cheap and this made this idea impossible unless we were
able to encourage a big group of people interested on it.
Anyway a seed was planted and now it seems that rain and sun have
done its job. We’ve found a place that we could afford. The most robust
proposal now was found by Joanmi Torres and now we are studying it.

How to learn more and getting involved
We need a minimum of 20 people to boot. 20 people who can commit to
paying 20€ per month. This money is needed to pay the rent, light,
water, Internet connection, etc.
